I want to apologize for the delay in this update, because last Thursday and Friday, the WiFi was really acting up and I couldn't get to Weebly. Then I was in a bus, on a train and in a car till about 6pm yesterday. But the over-view of the last two days will be quick. On Thursday, Shelley and I finished my poster and emailed it to a lady at UNH who prints posters for everybody. After we put the poster in her car, Shelley and I did a little tour of the UNH campus. Even covered in snow, windy and cold, it was a beautiful campus and I might tour there again, next summer.
Finally Friday. Shelley and I decided to just have a half day so we could feed the whelks, do the interview and also dissect a whelk. It was really interesting to see what the whelk looks like inside of the shell, all coiled up and around. Whelks only have one kidney and one gill section, because as they evolved, they needed more space for storage and slowly started getting ride of things.
Also, Shelley and I made Boston Creme Pie Cupcakes for the guys at the lab, and those were some good cupcakes.
