Crime Scene Investigation
For this project, we were split up into groups of two and given a crime that we needed to solve. I was partnered with Savvy and we had Crime Scene 3. In our crime, it was a hit-and-run but we thought that something else may have happened. So we did crime scene photographing, fingerprinting, blood typing, forensic entomology, toxicology reports, and DNA processing to solve the crime. At the crime scene, we took photos, collected evidence and also plastered the tire tracks and footprints that we found.
The one thing that I found interesting was how the CSI people and detectives can solve crimes starting with almost nothing. There are certain crimes that have a lot of evidence and DNA at the crime scene, but a few crimes that have almost no evidence. I actually participated pretty much the entire time, except for when Savvy was putting the board together because she was in her moment and I didn’t want to get in the way of her OCD.

Community Connection
For my community connect, I donated blood for the Blood Drive. I also had my sister bake some cookies, from Nini's, and I brought those in. I was not a big fan of needles, blood or doctors. But the people at the blood drive were really nice and fun to talk too. They recommend that you should drink water and eat salty foods throughout the day so that you don't faint. I brought my water bottle with me to the chair, but I didn't drink any while I was tilted back. My nurse was very polite, and understanding when I told her that I might be asking questions while she is placing the needle in. It took my veins around 10 minutes to fill up the bag, and the nurse said I had a very nice circulatory system and nice veins (but I think she says that to everyone). Afterward, you are suppose to stay in the room just in case you faint. I actually had a lot of energy and I felt like I had been injected with like twenty 5-Hour Energy's.
