ReflectionFor this project, we were researching a certain food from a Spanish speaking country and we needed to write an ode for it. To start off the ode writing, we learned about Paublo Naruda, who had been a famous poet back in the day. After we watched a movie about his life in Spain, we began to research which food we wanted to make for the final exhibition. We filled out research sheets after research sheet to get all of the information from the country and the food. Then we began to write the ode about our food a week before the final, all-school exhibition. With a few days to spare, all the classes were able to finish the odes, recipes and the food.
One of the more challenging things about this project was probably writing the ode because I had never tried the drink before and I didn’t know what it would look like, smell like or even taste like. I was worried that my ode wouldn’t match up with the drink that I made. But after I made the concoction and dared a sip, I realized that I had described it pretty well. What I thought of exhibition was that there was too much food and not enough drinks. I made a drink and so did Will Brako, but those were the only drinks I saw. Also, many people seemed overwhelmed with the amount of food in each room and think that it should be spread out more. |
